NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2017 – NBA Digital, in partnership with Turner Sports, and NextVR, the Official LEAGUE PASS VR Partner of the NBA, will offer fans in the United States, free video-on-demand highlights in virtual reality of the 2017 State Farm® All-Star Saturday Night and NBA All-Star Game 2017. The virtual reality experiences will be available in the All-Star Weekend channel in the NextVR app following the conclusion of TNT’s television coverage each night.
Available on NextVR’s platform, the video-on-demand highlights from Saturday will include three signature events: Taco Bell Skills Challenge, JBL Three-Point Contest and Verizon Slam Dunk.
Additionally, beginning Feb. 23, fans can experience live NBA games in virtual reality a-la-carte with a Single Game offering through NBA LEAGUE PASS for a special introductory price for the 2016-17 season of $6.99 USD per game. The entire schedule of games in virtual reality will also remain available to subscribers of the full-season NBA LEAGUE PASS. NBA LEAGUE PASS is part of NBA Digital, the NBA's extensive cross-platform portfolio of digital assets jointly managed by the NBA and Turner Sports.
Fans attending NBA All-Star 2017 in New Orleans will also have an opportunity to experience NBA highlights in virtual reality at NBA Crossover, which takes place at The Chicory beginning Friday, Feb. 17 at 4:00 PM CST.
